History of  Coaches vs. Cancer

In collaboration with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the Coaches vs. Cancer (CvC) program has teamed up with coaches and fans nationwide for three decades to aid the American Cancer Society in defeating a common enemy–cancer.

 

Your passion and dedicated support serve as a massive ripple effect of impact and change that fans out into a wide array of communities all throughout the nation.

Through generous fundraising and impactful education initiatives, the Coaches vs. Cancer program has actively supported the American Cancer Society in its efforts to save lives from cancer in the U.S. and worldwide by working tirelessly to ensure that access to treatment and support are equitable and easily accessible. While the battle isn’t over, thanks to having supporters like you on our team we have been able to strengthen and continue our fight against this terrible disease. So, be you a coach, player, or fan who cares about this important cause, the invitation to join our team and help us in our fight against cancer is open to you.

Coaches vs. Cancer Council

The Coaches vs. Cancer Council is composed of caring and socially engaged college and high school basketball coaches and officials who play an integral role in shaping the direction and impact of the Coaches vs. Cancer program.

The council operates with the constant goal of increasing awareness and creating opportunities for engagement as their driving force. They generously donate their time, money, and expertise to ensure that the Coaches vs. Cancer program continues to make an ever-increasing impact in the fight against cancer.
